Lintonfarms Colony Rescue is a family run organization based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Our mission has for years been to catch and re-home if possible any strays that we find on the street. Our mission got pushed to a whole new level at the end of last year as we noticed a surge in felines continually reproducing in our neighborhood.

            It all began with an orange cat named Cheeto. Cheeto was the first of many this year that have entered our doors, got medically treated, and got re-released. Cheeto was not made to be an indoor cat like a plethora of others, but got vaccinated, neutered, tested, and microchipped so that if he ever got caught again, we would be able to get him out of trouble. But every so often, we would catch a more docile cat who would never have lived a full life if left on the streets. Since January of 2023, our rescue has captured and assisted over 60 outside colony cats. Out of those, several were re-released following medical clearance due to their natural behavior, a handful  have been adopted to their forever homes and several await adoption to their forever homes.

           Our mission while a feel good story for the animals and our souls, has become incredibly burdensome on our budget. Since January 2023, we have accrued a bills of over $8,000. All of that thus far has been paid out of our family’s pocket as well as some periodic donations. This does not include the hundreds of dollars spent on food, trapping materials, litter, and medicine. We are looking for any and all help financially. This could be through donated items or monetary assistance as we seek to continue our mission further and further beyond this year. We would hate to shut the doors on such a legitimate need for animal rescue, but if we do not receive some assistance from our community here and our friends abroad, unfortunately it is not clear how much longer we can keep up this impressive pace.

         We are not a business. We are a family that has added dozens of rescues to our own personal family for over two decades. We have re-homed a dozen plus rescues in that time as well. We are not your run of the mill stories. We are Caring! We are Willing! We are Consistent! We are Change!
